Death Cafe

Taking the Taboo Out of Talking About Death

Talking about death won't kill you. The objective of the Death Café is to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their finite lives. Its a conversation that takes the taboo out of discussing death and dying. Death Cafes are an open, respectful and confidential space where people can express their views safely. This is a time for discussing death without expectations. The Death Café is not affiliated with any spiritual or religious organization. Death Cafés have been held around the world as part of the"Good Death" movement since 2011.The Death Café is not a bereavement support or grief counseling setting. There are many outlets better set up for this. If you need support in this way please reach out and we can connect you with resources. Please come with an open heart and open mind. You can choose to share or not to share in the discussion. We welcome only compassionate friendly conversation. Any disrespectful or unkind behavior will not be tolerated. The topic of death can be heavy, so let's support each other to feel free to express ourselves and be open to listening to others views without judgement. This is a safe place to be able to laugh or cry and yes, even enjoy ourselves, though the conversation of death can at times be intense. We hope you can join us for the FREE event.
