Chef Ahki Releases New Book for New Moms

Nutritional counselor and celebrity chef Ahki Taylor recently released her third book, Super Foods for the Modern Baby: Plant-based meals for Mommies, Infants & Toddlers. The new publication helps mothers-to-be prepare for a healthy plant-based pregnancy, create healthy eating habits and avoid junk food traps for themselves and their newborn. The book’s plant-based options are gluten-free, dairy-free, alkaline and plant-based.

The book includes 40 recipes designed for baby’s enjoyment and nutrition as well as lifestyle tips for pregnancy, breastfeeding and weaning,

Raised by four generations of medicine women in Oklahoma, Chef Ahki was introduced to indigenous foods and alternative modalities at a young age. She adopted a plant-based diet at the age of 18. Degreed in naturopathy and holistic theology, she worked as a colon therapist and trained with Atlanta-based holistic practitioner Dr. Mark Armstrong.

Author of two other books including Electric: A Modern Guide to Non-Hybrid & Wild Foods, Chef Ahki uses seasonal, organic, fresh, non-hybrid fruits and vegetables to create living food recipes designed for health and wellness.
