GabrielNelson Sears, a certified vibrational sound therapist, master-level Karuna Reiki® practitioner and meditation instructor, has joined the healing team at Decatur Healing Arts (DHA). He provides sound-energy healing therapy using Zen therapeutic singing bowls and Reiki energy healing.

“DHA is thrilled that GabrielNelson is joining us,” says Susan Johnson, owner of DHA. “The group sound meditations he facilitates here have a positive impact on our clients. Inviting him into the practice is a natural extension of this relationship.”

Vibrational sound therapy seems to be resonating with people in Atlanta. “There is an increasing awareness on the benefits of vibrational sound therapy,” Johnson says. “The number of phone calls we have received about it has risen over the past year.”

Sears has a 30-year background in mindfulness-based meditation, and he completed a yearlong course of study at the Earthsong Sound Mystery School in Three Rivers, Michigan. Dedicated to building vibrational sound communities, he is co-founder of Bowl Strong, a grassroots organization that meets regularly for people to receive sacred sound. At the gatherings, people are invited to play singing bowls, chimes and other traditional sacred-sound instruments.
