Deepak Chopra to Lecture at Unity North
Chopra, a public speaker and alternative medicine advocate, will discuss his latest book, The Healing Self, with a lecture followed by a book signing. Ticket purchases include a copy of the book.
The Healing Self, co-written by Chopra and Rudolph E. Tanzi, focuses on the idea that people are responsible for their own health through the choices they make every day: Individuals, not doctors, are their own front line of defense against illness.
Chopra is board certified in internal medicine, and a leader in integrative medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a clinical professor at the University of California, San Diego, according to Chopra.com. He is founder of The Chopra Center and co-founder of The Chopra Center for Wellbeing.
According to Unity North, in his lecture Chopra is expected to address questions such as: Are we in the midst of a major paradigm shift in science? Is the next stage of human development conscious evolution? How does our understanding of consciousness also enhance our capacity for total well-being?
