Natural Awakenings Atlanta

Korsi Yoga Purchases Still Hot Yoga

The same week that Still Hot Yoga (SHY) celebrated its 15th anniversary in October, Roswell’s Korsi Yoga purchased the studio. Ahoo Sarab, owner of Korsi, along with Cleve Willis, purchased SHY, where both have been students. Willis has also been a teacher at the studio.

“It is one of the longest-standing hot yoga studios in Atlanta,” Sarab wrote in a recent email. “At this time, we plan to keep the studio running as is. We will continue doing what the studio does best, which is create a safe and caring space for the hot yoga community, utilizing the Bikram Yoga method of instruction.”

Sarab and Willis plan to add a few more class times and weekend intensive workshops, and possibly a teacher training in the Bikram method, in late 2018.

Sarab wrote that the original owner, Eric Jennings, who owned and operated SHY for 15 years, was ready to focus on having more family time. She said Jennings and studio manager Rebecca Rumpf will continue to teach at SHY.

“They are longtime teachers with a strong community following. All of our studio instructors will remain teaching, many whom have been at SHY for years,” writes Sarab. “We are proud and thankful for the studio and its staff.”
