Yoga Therapy Deepens Healing Journey

Elisabeth Holmes, a yoga therapist certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists, will teach the Yoga for Renewal 4-Class Series from 7 to 9 p.m. every Thursday from August 10 to 31 at Vista Yoga, in Decatur.

“Yoga therapy is a new therapy. We’re the first generation and breaking grounds,” Holmes says. “I personally love helping a person dive into their body, and feel the emotions that have been stored.”

The series will help participants unknot the muscular structure, become aware of what they are truly sensing and feeling, and identify their needs to live a joyful life.

Each class will include a 90-minute practice of a unique yoga style for everyone, regardless of their fitness level, body type and mobility. It will be followed by a period of time in which Holmes will invite participants to become aware of how they truly feel and then share it with their own words.

“Body connection, awareness and spoken word,” Holmes says, “these, to me, are the keys to well-being.”

Cost is $95 for the series. Location: 2836 Lavista Rd. For more information, visit VistaYoga.com.
