Make a Veggie Connection in Atlanta

Meet like-minded people and vendors of all things veggie at the Third Annual Veggie Connection Event, to be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on August 26 at the Smyrna Community Center, in Smyrna.

The Veggie Connection is a network event where attendees are exposed to a host of vegetarian and vegan vendors, speakers and entertainment. Hosted this year, and the last two years, by The Chef in Pearls, personal chef Cassandra Mason, The Veggie Connection is a combination of workshops, booths, demonstrations and discussions.

“I think it’s important that people, especially when they’re newly transitioning into this lifestyle, for them to be aware that they’re not by themselves one, and two, to know there’s a lot of resources for them that exist,” Mason says. “This expo gives everybody an opportunity, not just those that are part of the lifestyle, but those who are considering it. An expo like that is awesome.”

The expo offers vegan clothing, jewelry, books and time with speakers in addition to new food ideas. The Veggie Connection aims to not only create awareness regarding the plant based lifestyle, but to ensure that it is accessible, enjoyable and sustainable for all who are on the journey towards wellness and abundance. The event attempts a more intimate-type setting, allowing attendees to take their time to talk and interact with each vendor and presenter.

Cost for the event is $5. Location: 200 Village Green Cir SE, Smyrna, 30080. Children younger than 10 are free. For more information or to RSVP, visit TheVeggieConnection.com.
