Medical Reiki Certificate Class Near Asheville

Reiki masters who want to learn how to work safely and unobtrusively with a surgical team will have the opportunity to do so at a Medical Reiki Certification class that is being held July 22 and 23 in Brevard, North Carolina, near Asheville. This course teaches reiki masters how to speak about energy healing in a way that Western medical professionals can understand and respect, how to support patients undergoing medical procedures, and how to work with surgical teams.

The instructor is Raven Keyes, author of The Healing Power of Reiki. She has built a career working with surgeons to provide reiki to patients before, during and after surgery, and has taught nearly 200 Reiki masters across the United States, Canada and the UK how to work with medical professionals and support patients undergoing medical procedures.

Hospitals in the United States are beginning to open up to the concept of integrating holistic approaches with allopathic medicine. A leading example is Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City where reiki masters actually join the surgical team in the operating room. New York surgeon Dr. Sheldon M. Feldman, president of The American Society of Breast Surgeons, is a strong advocate of reiki in the hospital. He is currently spearheading research to demonstrate the benefits of reiki administered during surgery and other medical procedures.

The cost is $650; $300 reserves one’s space and the balance is due on July 1. For more info, email [email protected] or visit RavenKeyesMedicalReiki.com.
