FORM {yoga} studio has moved from its former location near the DeKalb Farmers’ Market to a new home at 533 West Howard Avenue, Suite C-2, Decatur. Compared to the prior one-room facility, the new studio is three times more spacious, with a capacity of 50 and plenty of natural light, allowing more classes, more workshops and a 100-hour teacher training course. Six different workshops are available now, in addition to a full suite of classes.

“We didn’t have a hanging-out space at the other location, and here we have a large area for that,” notes owner Mandy Roberts, who feels that FORM {yoga} is particularly adept at creating community. “It’s kind of like yoga church. It’s more than a place where you come just to exercise,” she says.

In addition to a reception area and lounge, the new digs include a closed-off room that holds a chiropractic roller table, and Roberts is considering turning it into a meditation space when the table is not in use. A small loft space can be used for classes and private sessions.
