Let Freedom Run at Martin Luther King Race

The MLK Day 5K is a USATF-certified race and a Peachtree Road Race qualifier to be held January 16. It will start and finish across 10th Street from Grady High School, in Piedmont Park. Runners can register their school PTA, church or other organization to receive proceeds from the race. Five dollars of each registration from an approved organization will be returned to that organization for use in community efforts of its choice. The party starts at 8 a.m.

There will be a post-race party with music and events centered around the celebration of MLK Day and a 5K drum line along the race course. Participants will receive a MLK Day 5k T-shirt and a bag full of goodies and special offers. Another bonus is free ice skating at Park Tavern’s southwest rink.
