It's summer. It's hot, and it's hard to be inspired by much of anything except getting away to the North Georgia mountains and dangling my feet in a cool, crisp mountain stream or taking a refreshing dip in a one of Georgia's many wonderful lakes, wading through river shoals and waterfalls, or tubing lazily down the Chattahoochee River and drinking fresh-squeezed juices. Maybe it's just because its summer, or maybe this month's story “Swimming in Nature” has me longing for old-fashioned swimming holes and playing in the water.
If you are similarly afflicted, here are some great resources for water play in Georgia: SwimmingHoles.org/ga.html GaStateParks.org/swimming N-Georgia.com/lakes_rivers2.htm AtlantaTrails.com/north-georgia-waterfalls
Enjoy the edition, and the last few weeks of summer untethered before the business of back-to-school and work responsibilities resume.
