Ten-Day Fire Ceremony for World Peace
Thousands of men and women will gather for the Lalita Sahasranama Maha Maha Yajnam, a 10-day fire ceremony for world peace, from May 29 through June 7, at the Sri Karunamayi Research Institute of Meditation Center, in Forsyth, Georgia. People from all cultural and religious backgrounds are welcome for one or more days.
Participants will chant the Lalita Sahasranama, a sacred script listing 1,000 names of the Divine Mother, and make offerings into the sacrificial fire during Vedic fire ceremonies. Spiritual guide Amma Sri Karunamayi says, “The opportunity to attend this program comes only from the blessings of the Divine Mother herself. To be present here, to perform these homas with your own hands, to participate in this program for any or all of the 10 days; that in itself is the single greatest blessing one can receive in this lifetime.”
Cost:Free to attend, $108 per day to participate. Location: 285 Julie Lane. For more information and to register, visit or Manidweepa.org.
