Dr. Kyle Jones Explains Corneal Molding at Free Dinner Workshop

Dr. Kyle Jones, of the Georgia Eye Center, will host a free workshop and dinner at Bambinelli’s Italian Restaurant from 7 to 9 p.m., January 15 and February 11. Jones will explain one of the newest safe techniques to restore eyesight, orthokeratology, also known as Corneal Molding. This technique utilizes specially designed retainer contact lenses to gently reshape the front surface of the eye (cornea) to eliminate or reduce nearsightedness (myopia) or astigmatism.

The retainer contact lenses are worn at night while sleeping. They are removed upon awakening to provide clear vision without using eyeglasses or contact lenses. Advantages of Corneal Molding are freedom from contacts and glasses, elimination of dryness and redness and the possible slowdown of progressive nearsightedness.
