Zone of Light Studios will host a free storybook reading and children’s art activity featuring children’s author and illustrator J.P. Cox on October 12. The author will present her new children’s book, Millicent the Magnificent Hen, demonstrate her illustration style and speak about the value of art and holding on to one’s individuality.

Zone of Light Studio offers high-quality, affordable art instruction on all public school closure days for Dekalb County and Atlanta public schools. The studio is committed to educating students about the value of art and originality, and their team of artists and Georgia-certified educators lead imaginative class activities designed to awaken the individuality of people of all ages. Students can register for full or half-day sessions.
