CNC Celebrates Fall with Nature-Inspired Family Events

The Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC) presents Taking Flight on November 9, a day of soaring adventures, including the ribbon-cutting of their new Wildlife Walk and Woodland Trails Experience, followed by an exciting free-flight birds of prey show, Rockin’ Raptor crafts, a paper airplane fly-off contest and more.

On November 17, join other volunteers to help eradicate privet from the wetlands along the river. Bring gloves and a shovel if you’ve got extras, and be sure to register by November 13. To celebrate Take a Hike Day, CNC offers guided hikes, a Scavenger Hunt Challenge with prizes and a geocache GPS hunt.

From November 25 to 27, CNC hosts craft projects celebrating the Thanksgiving Holiday. Using recycled items, kids 4 and up will use their creativity and imaginations to make holiday-themed take-home projects and gifts, with new projects each day.

Location: 9135 Willeo Rd., Roswell. For information, visit ChattNatureCenter.org.
