The Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC), with sponsors Kaiser Permanente and Whole Foods, will host Harvest on the Hooch, from 3 to 6 p.m., October 14. The event promotes the Farm to Table movement and will introduce people to the CNC Unity garden, local restaurants and caterers, while raising funds for the garden’s continued maintenance. Garden tours, entertainment and garden games will round out the afternoon as guests sample cuisine made with fresh seasonal produce, local beers, wines and tapas-style tastings.

The CNC also hosts Halloween Hikes, from 7 to 10 p.m., October 19, 20, 26 and 27. Take a walk on the wild side and meet costumed woodland creatures that will delight with their dramatic antics. Wholesome fun and a favorite fall experience for many years, the CNC Halloween Hikes give guests a half-mile guided night tour through lighted woodland trails.
